CHRISTMAS ISLAND POSTCARD : CHRISTMAS ISLAND VIEW

THE PICTURE : The Territory of Christmas Island is a territory of Australia in the Indian Ocean. It has a population of 2,072 residents who live in a number of "Settlement areas" on the northern tip of the island: Flying Fish Cove (also known as Kampong), Silver City, Poon Saan, and Drumsite. The majority of the population is Chinese Australian. It is called Christmas Island because it was discovered on Christmas Day.
THE STAMP : It is Marry Christmas Island stamp and Coral Rabbitfish stamp (issued on 2010).

AUSTRALIAN POSTCARD : KANGAROO & KOALA




THE SENDER : This is my first card from Australia from Jennifer.
THE PICTURE : The picture are Koala and Kangaroo. Koalas spend the day eating Eucalyptus and sleeping high up in the trees. The baby koala clings to it’s mothers book until it is old enough to climb alone. Koala is one of the famous animals in Australia. Kangaroo are very active. Feeding early morning and at dusk. They  are often near roads and can be hit by cars, so there are these signs to warn motorists. The sender often see kangaroo’s near her house. Kangaroo is one of famous animals in Australia too.
THE STAMP : The stamps is $1.85 Tasmanian Devil, one of famous animals in Australia too.
