THE PICTURE : The
Adler Arena Trade And Exhibition Center
is an 8,000-seat speed skating oval in the Olympic Park, Sochi, Russia. It
opened in 2012 and looks like an iceberg or ice fault. The center will host the
speed skating events at the 2014 Winter Olympics. After the Olympics, it will
be turned into an exhibition center. It cost $32.8 million to build the venue,
including the temporary works for the Olympics. Before the Olympics it hosted
the 2013 Russian Speed Skating Championships in December 2012 and the 2013
World Single Distance Speed Skating Championships from 21 to 24 March 2013.
THE STAMP : It has 3
kind of stamp, that is the mascot of Sochi 2014 (issued on 2013), Astrakhan
Kremlin stamp (issued on 1st November 2009), and Elk stamp (issued on 29th
August 2008).
