RUSSIAN POSTCARD : BOLSHOY ICE DOME

THE PICTURE : The Bolshoy Ice Dome is an indoor sports arena located in Sochi, Russia. Opened in 2012, it has a capacity of 12,000 and formed part of the Coastal Cluster of venues for the 2014 Winter Olympics. It hosted the ice hockey competition of the 2014 Olympics, serving as the main venue for the men's tournament and hosting the medal matches for the women's tournament. It also hosted both the IIHF World U18 Championships and Channel One Cup in 2013. The arena was designed to resemble a frozen water droplet. Its signature feature is its roof, which contains LED lights on its outer shell that illuminate the arena at night.

RUSSIAN POSTCARD : ADLER ARENA

THE PICTURE : The Adler Arena Trade And Exhibition Center is an 8,000-seat speed skating oval in the Olympic Park, Sochi, Russia. It opened in 2012 and looks like an iceberg or ice fault. The center will host the speed skating events at the 2014 Winter Olympics. After the Olympics, it will be turned into an exhibition center. It cost $32.8 million to build the venue, including the temporary works for the Olympics. Before the Olympics it hosted the 2013 Russian Speed Skating Championships in December 2012 and the 2013 World Single Distance Speed Skating Championships from 21 to 24 March 2013.
THE STAMP : It has 3 kind of stamp, that is the mascot of Sochi 2014 (issued on 2013), Astrakhan Kremlin stamp (issued on 1st November 2009), and Elk stamp (issued on 29th August 2008).

UKRAINIAN/RUSSIAN POSTCARD : SEVASTOPOL

THE PICTURE : It is multi view of Sevastopol city. Sevastopol  is a city on the Black Sea, located in the southwestern region of the Crimean Peninsula. The city is currently under dispute by Russia and Ukraine; Russia and Sevastopol itself consider it a federal city of the Russian Federation and part of the Crimean Federal District, while Ukraine and most other countries consider it one of Ukraine's cities with special status. The Russian military has displaced the Ukrainian military in the region, and Russia exercises administration over Sevastopol's territory. Sevastopol has a population of about 342,451 concentrated mostly near the Bay of Sevastopol and surrounding areas. The location and navigability of the city's harbours has made Sevastopol a strategically important naval base throughout history. The city is home to the Russian Black Sea Fleet, and its main port, the Port of Sevastopol, is one of the busiest ports in the Black Sea.
THE STAMP : It has 4 stamp. But, it just has 2 kind of stamp. The first (orange) is Acer platanoides, Norway Maple stamp.. This stamp issued on 2012. And, the second (green) is Fraxinus excelsior, a European Ash stamp. This stamp issued on 2012 too.

RUSSIAN POSTCARD : MAIN BUILDING OF MOSCOW UNIVERSITY

THE PICTURE : It is Main Building of Moscow University on Vorobyovy. Lomonosov Moscow State University, is one of the oldest and largest universities in Russia. Founded in 1755, the university was renamed in honor of its founder, Mikhail Lomonosov, in 1940. It also claims to have the tallest educational building in the world. Its current rector is Viktor Sadovnichiy.
THE STAMP : It has 2 stamps. The left stamp is Olympic Winter Games 2013 in Sochi, Russia. This stamp issued on 2012. And, the right stamp is Caspian Seal (Foca Caspica), one of sea mammals stamp. This stamp issued on 2003.
